COVID-19 UPDATE: Mayor Yates shares information about recent difficult decisions about City operations.

Items on the agenda included approval of the previous meeting’s minutes, the Mayor’s report and legislation.
Legislation included the 2020 budget, the salary ordinance, a conditional use permit for JC Landscaping, a right of way donation due to a lot split for 10039 Darrow Road, the leasing of school buses for the 2020 City recreation program, 2020 sewer improvement and an ordinance granting the Mayor emergency powers to respond to the COVID-19 crisis in order to keep the City running properly.
Mayor Yates gave this update during the March 19th, 2020 City Council meeting during the Mayor’s Report.

Dear Residents… I know you have all been trying to stay current with the ever-changing news regarding COVID-19, otherwise known as the Coronavirus. To that end, we wanted to assure you that the City of Twinsburg is staying in constant contact with the Summit County Public Health and State of Ohio Departments of Health. We are also closely monitoring the recommendations from the CDC.
The Senior Center building is closed until further notice. All activities, programs, and lunches inside the building are cancelled. Transportation services are still currently available.
