Indoor Pool Repair Update and Temporary Facility Changes
TWINSBURG, OH — August 27, 2026 — The City of Twinsburg Parks and Recreation Department is providing an update on the
ongoing closure of the Twinsburg Fitness Center indoor pool. The issue was identified during the Fitness Center’s annual pool
cleaning and maintenance. After the pool was refilled, the backwash valve casings cracked and began leaking.
Replacement parts needed to complete the indoor pool repair have been ordered and are expected to arrive in mid-September.
Once the parts are received, the repair process will require approximately two weeks to install the parts, refill the pool and
bring the water back up to the appropriate operating temperature.
Based on the current repair timeline, the indoor pool is estimated to reopen on September 30, 2026.
Outdoor Waterpark to Remain Open
To provide continued access to aquatic facilities while the indoor pool is closed, the Twinsburg Water Park will remain open
through September 30, weather permitting. The Burg will only be open on weekends until Labor Day and then closed for the
season after Labor Day.
During this extended operating period, the Water Park hours are:
Monday–Saturday: 7 am–7:30pm
Sunday: 10:30am–7:30pm
The outdoor Water Park’s usual weather policy will be temporarily suspended during this period to allow the facility to remain
open as long as possible, including on cooler or less favorable weather days. While staff will make every effort to maintain a
comfortable water temperature, temperatures cannot always be guaranteed to be comfortable for every guest.
Fitness Center members will have access to the outdoor Water Park during the indoor pool closure. Water Park members will
also have their memberships automatically extended through September 30.
Fitness Center Membership Extensions
Fitness Center memberships affected by the indoor pool closure will be extended for the number of days the indoor pool
remains closed. These extensions will be applied once the indoor pool has reopened, and additional information will be
communicated directly to affected Fitness Center members.
Doggy Paddle Canceled for 2026
Due to the extended operation of the outdoor Water Park, this year’s Doggy Paddle event has been canceled. The event will
return next year.
The City of Twinsburg Parks and Recreation Department appreciates the patience and understanding of our members and
patrons as we work through this unexpected repair. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to the indoor pool when
it reopens.
