Upcoming Construction – January 2026

Passing along an update I received from the Engineering Department about upcoming construction on Glenwood Drive and Liberty Road as well as an update on the Four Corners Project.

There are two upcoming construction projects that I wanted to notify everyone of:

Glenwood Drive Sanitary Lateral Replacements

Beginning Wednesday 1/21/26 Northeast Ohio Trenching Services will be replacing 8 sanitary laterals on Glenwood Drive between Ridgewood Drive and East Idlewood Drive.  They will have construction equipment parked on the south side of the road and will have a flagger directing traffic around the equipment during working hours.  Please use caution and obey all traffic signs/flagger directions.  This work will last approximately three weeks, assuming cooperative weather conditions.

Liberty Road Culvert Extensions

Fioritto Construction will be extending culverts to improve safety along Liberty Road from Neille Lane to Post Road.  This work will begin the week of 1/26/26.  They will have construction equipment parked along the east side of the road and will be utilizing temporary traffic signals during working hours to allow traffic to safely proceed around them.  Please use caution and obey all traffic signs/signals.  This work will last approximately five weeks, assuming cooperative weather conditions.

Four Corners Project Update

Additionally, as an update to the Ravenna/Shepard/Richmond/Broadway work, SET, Inc. is working this week to clean up the site and demobilize until the spring.  By the end of the week two directional traffic will reopen on Shepard Road.  In the spring, they will return to install traffic signal improvements and mill/pave the entire intersection with fresh asphalt.  I appreciate your patience through the utility and weather delays this project has experienced.
