Safety Town Playground Progress Update
I received an exciting update from the Director of Parks and Recreation the other day about SAFETY TOWN!
The City has been hard at work preparing the Safety Town Playground for its spring grand opening and the summer safety program led by our Police Department. Thanks to the generous donation of buildings from Habitat for Humanity and their partners, and the creative talents of our local artists, the project is really coming to life.
The buildings have now been beautifully painted by October Sun Studio and the local Girl Scouts, showcasing wonderful artistic expression and community pride. We are thrilled to see this playground taking shape and to soon offer another opportunity for our residents to learn, connect, and enjoy one of the many special places our city provides.
The final phase of landscaping and signage will take place over the next few months, and we will soon announce a date for the grand opening.
